Microsoft Service Pack 2 Issues - 11/11/2004
There are known incompatibilities with Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Micromeritics Windows based instrument software (see table, below). New versions of Micromeritics instrument operating software that address all known incompatibilities are being made available to users of Micromeritics’ Windows based instrument software. The incompatibility does not apply to instrument software operating under Windows 2000. The affected software are associated only with the following Micromeritics products: Instrument Operating Software: ASAP 2020 (all models) AutoPore 95xx series instruments SediGraph 5120 AutoChem 2920 TriStar 3000 All 21CFR11 Confirm software (for Gemini, TriStar, ASAP 20xx, and DigiSizer) DigiSizer 5200 Add-On, Accessory and Off-Line Software: Gemini Windows software (Gemini 2365 & 2380) ChemiSoft (accessory software for ChemiSorb 27xx series) DataMaster Users of Micromeritics’ products who intend to operate our software using Windows XP should not install SP2 until the new Micromeritics instrument software is installed. If SP2 has already been installed on a Micromeritics instrument computer and the new software has not been obtained, SP2 should be uninstalled temporarily using the Windows 'Un-install' feature. SP2 can be reinstalled after the new release of the Micromeritics instrument software has been received and installed. New software releases will be sent to our users by postal courier, delivered by a Micromeritics sales or service person or their representative, or it can be e-mailed.
